Amazon offers customers a convenient way to shop without leaving home, and for those curious about their spending habits, it’s easy to track Amazon spending. If you’ve purchased items off Amazon that you didn’t really need or indulged in an impulse buy, it may be time to check how much you’ve spent on Amazon. But how can you see how much you spent on Amazon?

To see how much money you have spent on Amazon, you can request an order history report. Once you have gone through the steps to download your purchase history, you can analyze the report. This report includes information like the number of orders placed and the amount spent on Amazon purchases.

To evaluate the total spent on Amazon, you’ll need to consider all the purchases, including gifts. The Amazon purchase history report also indicates the most expensive item you’ve bought off Amazon and lists the first purchase you’ve ever made. This makes it easy to see what items you’ve purchased that you didn’t need and which were impulse buys.

Why Check Your Amazon Purchase History?

There are a few reasons why you’d want to check your Amazon purchase history. Studying your purchase history allows you to keep track of the items you’ve purchased and keep track of your shipping, refunds, and returns.

The Amazon spending report consists of an Amazon spreadsheet of orders. It provides helpful information, like which items were the most expensive or which items you purchased the most, and can help you keep track of your spending.

How To See How Much Money You’ve Spent On Amazon?

You need to download your Amazon purchase history report to see how much money you have spent on Amazon. You don’t have to contact Amazon directly to request this; it can easily be done from your Amazon dashboard in your Amazon account.

UPDATE: As of March 2023, the following method of getting your amazon orders history report doesn’t work. What you should do instead is this.

Step By Step Method Of Downloading Your Purchase History

To download your Amazon purchase history report, follow the below steps:

  1. Log into your Amazon account. If you haven’t already logged into your Amazon account, log in.
  2. Navigate to “order and shopping preferences .”On your amazon account page, you’ll see a list of options. Look for the “order and shopping preferences option” and click “download order reports.”
  3. Choose your report. Once on the reports page, you can select a date range and the type of report. You may need to download a few reports to get all the information about your purchase history.

If you have made many purchases on Amazon, it may take a while for the reports to download. You may need to wait for minutes or hours for longer reports.

How To See Your Amazon Purchase Totals

If you’re a compulsive buyer like me, you need to learn how to track your Amazon spending. To see your Amazon purchase totals, you can log into your Amazon account and view your purchase history by clicking “your orders .”You can also download your purchase history report, giving you a detailed overview of your Amazon purchase totals.

How To Download Your Amazon Purchase Totals:

To download your Amazon Purchase totals, follow the below steps:

  1. Log into your personal Amazon account and go to “order and shopping preferences .”Once you log into your Amazon account, navigate to “order and shopping preferences” and select “download order reports.” If you haven’t already logged into your Amazon account, log in.
  2. Choose the product items report. Select the “items” report and the specified date range from the list of report options. Download your report. The items report will give you a detailed list of items purchased and your Amazon purchase totals.

Amazon may not display the total amount spent on purchases; however, highlight all the amounts listed in the “item total” column and then click Autosum (located on the top ribbon in excel) to calculate this. Once this calculation is complete, you’ll see how much you’ve spent on Amazon in a year or in a month for example, getting the amazon yearly spending report or the amazon monthly spending report.

Request Your Amazon Order Purchase History

Before March 2023, you could download your amazon order purchase history by following a link on their site. You can still do it, but it’s a bit more complex.

You have to request your order data from a special page on amazon.com. From this page, you can request all kinds of data (e.g. orders, subscriptions, audible, etc.) about your Amazon account, but for the purposes of this tutorial, just select ‘Your orders’ from the dropdown menu and click ‘Submit request’.

You will get a confirmation email for security reasons, and soon after you’ll get an email with a ZIP file containing all the data you need with your Amazon total spend report.

How Many Amazon Orders Have I Placed?

There are two ways to view the number of orders placed on Amazon. The first is to log into your Amazon account and look at your order history. The second method is to download the orders and shipping report.

Once the orders and shipping report has been downloaded, and you have opened it, you can view the number of items listed (but don’t include the headers) to see how many orders you’ve placed. For example, if your excel sheet displays 300 lines of orders, then you have ordered 299 items.

If you want to determine how many orders you have placed that are not refunds, you can subtract the number of refunds from the number of orders placed.

How Much Have I Spent On Amazon?

To calculate the total amount you have spent on Amazon, you’ll need to use the SUM function in excel when you open your Amazon report. Then, in the items section of the spreadsheet, look for the “item total .”The item-total shows what was paid for each item purchased.

Highlight all the item totals and carry out an Autosum calculation. This will give you the total spent on Amazon. If you have returned products and received a refund, this will need to be subtracted from the total figure to get an accurate indication of how much you’ve spent on Amazon.

What Items Were Gifts?

It can be challenging to determine which items were gifts since Amazon only classifies gift items based on their delivery to a different address. So if you ordered gifts delivered to your address, they wouldn’t be listed as gifts.

This means you’ll probably have to recall which items you purchased as gifts and then total these up separately.

If you ship gifts regularly from Amazon straight to the recipient, you’ll be able to see which items were gifts in your Amazon report.

In your Amazon excel report, you’ll find a column called “Shipping address name .”This column sorts your purchases by the name of the person receiving the purchase. To see which items were delivered as gifts, look over your name and only include the gift recipients’ names.

What Is The Most Expensive Thing I’ve Bought Off Amazon?

If you’d like to know what your most expensive purchase was on Amazon, you’ll need to sort the prices in the “item total” column in your Amazon report. You can do this by highlighting the figures and using the Z-A sort function in Excel.

Once the calculation is complete, the highest-priced item will be listed at the top, and the lowest-priced item will be at the end of the list.

These detailed reports can tell you which items were gifts and the total amount spent on purchases and provide a list of all the things you’ve ordered from Amazon.
